Let's do a little dreaming after you read the post titled "What Does a Happy New Year Really Mean to You?"
I'd like to hear the things you want to accomplish for 2009. What big and small dreams do you have? How do you plan to get there...how many parties per month? recruiting interviews?
Let's work to inspire each other and hold one another accountable for a productive 2009!
Make it great!

My goals for 2009 are simple. I want a min of $10,000 per month in sales as well as 3 recruits per month. I intend to hold 20 parties per month and 10 recruiting meetings to achieve this goal. I want to win our trip to Hawii and Italy in 2009 as well as pay off my truck and our bills and finish our basement. REMEMBER, set your goals and write them down, because a goal not written down is simply a DREAM.
Kelli,
Your monthly goals are fanstastic. Company trips used to be a driving force for me to really step things up. Pure Romance is providing some great trip incentives for you.
I want to throw out some recruiting numbers for you to ponder. Your party goal is 20 per month. If you identify at least 3 potential recruits per party, that gives you a lead list of 60 per month to invite to hear your business info. We know that 1 out of 10 potentials will sign. This gives you at least 6 new recruits per month. The more recruiting interviews you do the better you'll get....and you'll increase your law of averages for recruiting. I used to interview 3 to get 1....so there's lots of potential to dig in and excel!
This also brings us to the observation and conclusion of how important a full party schedule becomes. Everything rides on this....especially recruiting!
If anyone wants a great recruiting system and wants to know the 3 people you identify at each party, please visit http://www.tonyagrimes.com/resources.html to get your Gold Mine Recruiting CD.

I am in a sense starting my business back up again after a back injury slowed me down for six months. So my goals are not as lofty as Kelli's, but certainly attainable with some effort. A minimum of $2000 in sales each month, 5 parties a month, 3 new recruits each month. This won't get me on our trip for 2009, but it will make 2010 possible!
Vicki,
I want to take off on something you said because it's important. You mentioned that your 2009 goals won't get you on your company's trip but it will propel you forward to pursue the trip in 2010. That is profound and I hope that sinks in for all committed direct sellers!
The action steps you take today are the steps needed to build big for the future!

My big goal is to quit my day job so I can spend more time with my children. I've had this goal since I started but I'm still not sure how to make this happen. Honestly, I make a decent living at my job, I simply work too much at a job I don't love, and replacing that income from just parties is difficult. After almost 2 yrs, I'm tired of working nearly nonstop!
Hi Pam,
The big vision with this business is to recruit. That's the key to eventually being able to walk away from a full-time job that pays well. I really don't know of anyone who has been able to quit their full time job by just doing parties....recruiting is the key here, but it takes time to build a downline...that's the part that we don't like if we don't have a long-term mindset.
So...dig in and recruit! Build a large team, which will present a future of different choices for you.

You're fabulous! Thank you for that advice. It helps to have a direction rather than working in several and waiting to see what pans out.
My goal for 2009 is to be consitant! Hold 6-8 classes a month, one recriut a month and $2500 in sales a month. I have always wanted go on an insentive trip, so I would like to go to Dublin, Ireland.

I just wanted to say I am so impressed that you have taken the time to give each woman here a personal response and advice. It is nice that you took the time to really put thought into what needed to be done to reach personal goals and responded as to what to do.
Thank YOU. After 8 years in this business, I KNOW what I need to do to be sucessful but its nice to hear someone say it and confirm what I know and make me work harder! It also never hurts to learn a new trick or two and your response about how to respond when someone asks what I do..I LOVE! What a wonderful recruiting tool.
You were great at our Convention and I continue to be impressed by YOU.
Hi Jennine,
You mentioned your 2009 goal is to be consistent. I applaud you because this is one of the most difficult things to do. Think about...we train our children and then we get busy...so we become inconsistent. We decide that our families are going to have good, homecooked meals...that lasts for a week and then we're back to eating out and frozen pizzas. The same is true with our business. We don't have a boss and we don't have an agenda, which is the demise of many home-based businesses. With freedom and flexibility often comes procrastination.
So, what do we do to cure this? It's not an easy solution and one that we don't like to hear because it has the word self-discipline written all over it...yuck! Here's a list of action steps that may help you to maintain self-discipline:
1. Make a list of business building activities that need to be done each day.
2. Make an agreement with a business buddy (that can be tough on you), that you'll email your daily to-do list.
3. Do the things on your list and then email that tough buddy, who will ream you out if you slacked off.
4. Make yourself just start...because once you get started you'll get motivated because it just feels great to be productive.
Hope this helps you to become consistent (which is another word for self-discipline)!
Success and Consistency to you!

My immediate goals are to have 4 events and $1200 in sales a month. I am working with a FastTrackers group, and this is our goal by March. I am working toward leadership. My longterm goal for 2009 is to be consistent.
My goals this year are to have 6-8 events/month, sell a minimum of $2500/month and recruit 2 new members to my team/month. My goal is to reward my hubby and I with our company's trip to Jamaica.
